New Zealand Loyal has applied for re-registration with the Electoral Commission ahead of the June 11th (recommended) deadline.
This was a significant milestone for New Zealand Loyal as it prepares to contest the 2026 General Election.
“Three political parties have submitted applications to register with the Electoral Commission so far this week,” the Commission said.
Applications to register the party and a logo to appear on the ballot paper have been received from:
| Party | Abbreviated name |
| Alliance Party of Aotearoa New Zealand | Alliance Party |
| New Zealand Loyal | NZ Loyal |
| Te Tai Tokerau Party | TTTP |
“Once initial checks have been completed, details of the applications being considered by the Commission will be available on the current party and logo applications page on our website.”
An application to register a party is determined following membership checks and public consultation on the party name and logo.
The last legal date for the Commission to register parties and logos for the election is Thursday 6 August 2026.
