Based in Murchison since 2001, Alex is a commercial apiarist, employer, exporter, and internationally respected specialist in queen bee genetics. He has trained beekeepers in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Japan and understands what it takes to succeed in the real economy.
Alex isn’t a career politician.
He’s someone who has spent a lifetime working the land, supporting local communities, and standing up for the industries that keep New Zealand strong.

John Alcock
PANMURE-OTAHUHU
John Alcock is candidate for Panmure Ōtāhuhu.
His background spans science, law, business, governance, financial crime compliance, strategy and organisational transformation. He holds degrees in genetics and law and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
John believes government should be judged not by its intentions, but by its results.
His focus is on personal liberty, institutional accountability, transparent government, economic reform and ensuring that those who exercise public power are answerable for the consequences of their decisions.
For John, the central question is simple: Can government do better?
