Official Statement from Kelvyn Alp – Leader, NZ Loyal

8 April 2026

In recent days, former NZ Loyal member Liz Gunn has made a series of public statements on her FreeNZ platforms and associated channels that contain serious inaccuracies and defamatory claims directed at myself, Hannah Spierer, and the ongoing work of New Zealand Loyal. These statements wrongly assert that she remains the leader of the party, that the party no longer exists, and that she alone speaks for its members and supporters. Such claims are factually incorrect and contrary to the party’s constitution, the democratic decisions of its members, and the public record.

For the avoidance of doubt, the following facts are clear and have been placed on the public record previously:

  1. Party formation and my role

I was present at the formation of New Zealand Loyal alongside Hannah Spierer, Rob, Corina, Liz Gunn, and her son Dan. Rob proposed the name “Loyal”. I authored the tagline “Loyal to you – not to them” and wrote every policy the party has ever released. These details, together with supporting evidence and contemporaneous records, were set out in full in the video ‘Episode 102: Loyal or Not Loyal? The Truth about Liz Gunn’s Betrayal’, which remains available for anyone to view: https://rumble.com/v5b1i7d-episode-102-loyal-or-not-loyal-the-truth-about-liz-gunns-betrayal.html. Liz Gunn has never provided any evidence to contradict these facts.

  1. Democratic leadership transition

In 2024 Liz Gunn unilaterally announced the closure of the party in a manner that was inconsistent with the party’s constitution. A Special General Meeting was subsequently initiated by Lisa Williams. This was followed by a properly convened Annual General Meeting at which I was elected Leader of New Zealand Loyal – the first time any leader of the party has been chosen by democratic vote of the members. A President, and interim board was elected. The party remains active and continues to operate in accordance with the will of its members. (This is also reflected in the public record, including Wikipedia’s entry on New Zealand Loyal, which confirms the party was deregistered in 2024 but has remained active under my leadership following the AGM.)

  1. Legal proceedings

A case has been lodged in the Manukau District Court against Liz Gunn and former Party Secretary Michele Smith. The proceedings seek, among other orders:

  • the immediate return of the complete party membership list and all administrative materials;
  • a full forensic accounting of the three bank accounts used to receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations; and
  • other relief necessary to protect the rights of members and supporters.

These steps are being taken to ensure full transparency and accountability to every person who contributed to the party in good faith.

New Zealand Loyal is gaining traction precisely because it continues to focus on the real issues facing New Zealand families – issues that the current political establishment refuses to address. The attempts by a former member to undermine that work through unsubstantiated personal attacks do not change the democratic mandate the membership has given the current leadership, nor do they alter the legal and constitutional realities.

We are aware of Ms Gunn’s recent remarks only through reports from supporters, as we have been blocked from the platforms on which they appear.

This has not prevented the facts from being placed before the public. The evidence we have presented – including in the linked video and now through the court process – stands unrefuted.

New Zealand Loyal remains committed to its founding principles and to every supporter who chose to stay with the party when others sought to shut it down. Our focus is forward: rebuilding trust in democratic institutions, restoring accountability, and delivering the policies that were developed to serve the interests of New Zealanders – not political insiders.

We encourage all genuine supporters to engage directly with the official New Zealand Loyal channels and to disregard attempts to sow division. The party is open, active, and moving ahead under democratically elected leadership.

The people of New Zealand deserve better than distraction and division. They deserve a party that is loyal to them.

The Leighton Smith Podcast: John Alcock on the mandatory behavioural and device-level surveillance two of NZ’s biggest banks have implemented

John Alcock updates us on Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC’s) after the groundwork he laid down eighteen months ago on this podcast.

Within the last couple of weeks, two of the biggest NZ Banks have implemented mandatory behavioural and device-level surveillance as a condition of online and mobile banking.

The customer cannot opt out.

They justify it as fraud prevention but go far beyond what is proportionate.

And this is only the beginning.

We discuss where to after this, and much more.

🚨 I’m Being Debanked — And So Are You

NZ Banks Have Quietly Installed Mandatory Spyware Into Online Banking.

This is NOT a joke.
This is NOT speculation.
This is straight from their own websites.

New Zealand’s biggest banks — ANZ, BNZ, and Westpac — have now implemented mandatory behavioural and device-level surveillance as a REQUIREMENT for online and mobile banking.

Not optional.
Not for “improving security.”
Not “only if you agree.”

Mandatory.

Here’s what they now demand access to:

🔻 Your typing patterns
🔻 Your scrolling and swiping behaviour
🔻 Your mouse movements
🔻 Your device motion, tilt, and handling
🔻 Your connected devices (Bluetooth, USB, etc.)
🔻 Whether your phone is currently on a call
🔻 Your full device metadata
🔻 Your behavioural biometrics (unique to YOU)
🔻 BNZ even scans your INSTALLED APPS (on Android)
🔻 Sensor and peripheral data

Yep. NZ banks now decide how you must use your device to “qualify” for banking access.

And here’s the part that should terrify every Kiwi:

ANZ & BNZ both explicitly state you CANNOT use internet banking or their mobile apps unless you consent to all of this.

Meaning:
No consent?
No access to your own money.

This is NOT fraud prevention.
This is forced surveillance as a condition of modern banking.

💥 Direct Quotes (from their public pages):
ANZ:

“You won’t be able to use goMoney or Internet Banking without having this data collected.”https://www.anz.co.nz/banking-with-anz/banking-safely/fraud-protection/collect-information/

BNZ:

“We collect sensor and peripheral data, installed apps, and behavioural biometric information…”
“If you don’t provide this information, we may not be able to offer you services in our digital channels.”https://www.bnz.co.nz/about-us/online-security/how-we-protect-you/using-behaviour-to-recognise-its-you

This is the textbook definition of spyware — except now your bank requires it.

🧠 The implications:

Banks are building behavioural fingerprints of every customer

They can detect when you’re on a phone call

They know what devices you connect

BNZ knows what apps you install

They can track every gesture and movement you make inside the banking app

Data is shared with third-party “security partners” offshore

Once the permissions exist, nothing stops them from expanding usage later

This quietly lays the groundwork for CBDC and digital identity surveillance

We are not talking about “your bank tracks your transactions.”
We’re talking about your bank tracks YOU.

How you hold your device.
How you type.
How you move.
Who you’re connected to.
And what’s on your phone.

😡 And the worst part?

ASB, Kiwibank, TSB, Co-op, and the credit unions aren’t doing this yet…

…but NONE of them have publicly stated that they WON’T.

Three of the big banks have already moved.
The rest will follow unless this goes public and people push back.

🔥 This is the biggest banking privacy breach NZ has ever seen.

No public debate.
No media coverage.
No opt-out.
No consent.

Just:
“Give us full surveillance access to your device — or lose digital banking.”

I’m sounding the alarm now.

Send it to everyone you know.
Post it in every group.
Make as much noise as possible.

This crosses a line that should NEVER have been crossed.

If you want the full breakdown (bank-by-bank list of who is spying and who isn’t), DM me or comment — I’ve got everything documented.
